Friday October 7th: Fr. Ed Fride

Dear friends of the Fellowship,

Our next meeting, to which all are welcome, takes place on Friday, 7th October from 6.30pm – 8.30pm in the Cardinal Mooney room at SHMS.
We are delighted that our guest speaker is Fr Ed Fride, who is Pastor of Christ the King parish, Ann Arbor. Fr. Ed will be speaking on:
The Renewed Parish:
The Fulfilment of Lumen Gentium.”

Christ the King is a non-territorial personal parish of the Bishop of Lansing called to minister to Catholics who are seeking a deeper presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Its liturgies and overall ministry are oriented to encourage growth in the Holy Spirit and the charismatic gifts.  The parish has seen many people respond to vocations and at present has 19 seminarians and 11 sisters in formation or discerning vocations to religious life.
The evening will include praise and worship, Fr. Ed's talk, small groups for discussion and prayer, and refreshments.

Just looking ahead, may I draw your attention to the upcoming
Life in the Spirit Seminar to be held at SHMS on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9.00 – 4.00pm. It will be led by Paco Gavrilides, well-known for his work in evangelization, but now more well-known as the recently appointed professor of homiletics at
Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
More news on this later.

Blessings in the Lord,
Fr Gerard Kelly
